These granules are designed for the micro filtration of all types of industrial water that has been contaminated with paint or glue. Normally used within our EpurWater PM & EpurWater GM filtration units these granules will remove chemical traces in order to improve the final quality of the treated water.
When treating water from your spray booth, flushing water or water used to clean machinery connected to the application of coatings such as paint, lacquers or glues, the water is initially treated with a product from our Proco range. This separates the coating from the water that is then filtered through either our Aspifloc filtration bags or one of our rolled filtration media that removes the separated solids. This clear water can then be pumped through our EpurWater machines, containing this activated carbon, which removes the final chemical contaminants.
These granules should only be used after the separation and filtration of the solids from the industrial waste water, so after the water has been treated and filtered. This product should only be used for the filtration of clear water in order to remove particles that can't be removed by our range of filtration bags or rolled media.
Activated Carbon TE 100 is a high performance carbon for the capture of organic matter held within a water solution.
Generally used with our Aspifloc, Bigfloc & EpurWater treatment & filtration systems to eliminate traces of solvent or other organic matter within industrial waste water. This product can also be used used to purify swimming pool water treatment for the decomposition of chlorine and ozone.
- Appearance - Granulated
- pH - approximately 9
- Density - 0.485 + or – 0.025
- Particle size - 90% between 0.6 and 2.4 mm
- Water Content - <5%
- Specific Surface Area - 1150 m²/g
Activated Carbon TE is ready for use in a purification chamber within our EpurWater systems. In the filtration process, at the outlet, circulate the solution to be treated in a filtration chamber at 50μ maximum followed by the purification chamber responsible.
It is very important to remember that activated carbon must be changed on a regular basis. We are using it for its excellent filtration qualities which means it will become clogged with the contaminants that it is removing from your waste water. If not changed then these could possibly become a breeding ground for dangerous micro-organisms after a certain period of time. We therefore recommend that our customers have enough activated carbon for at least two changes and that it is kept in a sealed container or bag between changes.
Do I have to use your Epurwater machines?
No, these granules can be used for the general filtration of waste water in any way however, they are guaranteed to work within our EpurWater filtration units. We take the treatment and filtration of waste water very seriously (it is our business after all) so if we are recommending how to treat and clean industrial water then we are going to recommend, what we consider to be, the best methods and machines.
