How much do I add to my spray booth water tank?
Probio should be used at a working concentration of 1% of your water volume. Therefore, for every 1000 litres of water you should be adding 10 litres of Probio to establish the initial working concentration. However, remember that the water may be topped up with fresh water so daily or weekly additions of Probio may be required to maintain the 1% concentration.
Will this stop the smell from my water?
If not stop then it will certainly make your water smell far less offensive however, if used correctly, the additions of Probio will eliminate all smells from the water as it will control the growth of bacteria therefore will control smells that are emitted, especially during warm weather.
Do I have to make regular dosages?
If you want to control bacteria within a body of water that is being used (a spray booth, degreasing tanks etc.) or is within a working environment then we would suggest that a regular dose would be beneficial to control bacteria. It must be remembered that bacteria will continue to grow so whilst an initial dose can greatly reduce bacteria levels if the water is then left untreated new bacteria will start to grow.
Can I not just make a single addition of biocide?
You can make a single addition and many of our customers do just that. We feel that there is only a requirement to add a biocide to industrial water if bacteria levels are high. Sometimes, these levels can fluctuate especially during warm weather or if the water allowed to stagnate (maybe during shutdown periods) in these instances a shock treatment can reduce the bacteria levels to normal. This single treatment should be made at 1% of the water volume. Likewise, additions for a short period of time, such as during hot weather, can be made.
Will this help with Legionella?
Yes. Using Probio within your water installation will allow you to control the potential growth of the Legionella bacteria.
Where can I use Probio?
You can use our biocide range in any type of industrial or residential water installation. It should not be used in drinking water, washing water or bathing water. This means that you should not use it in a swimming pool or stored water that is for a shower or bath. It can be used with all types of water that is used within industrial areas such as spray booths, degreasing or pre-treatment tanks, cooling circuits and many other uses.
