Description

Spray booth filter, supplied on a roll and generally used for the filtration of air being extracted from your spray booth or product preparation area.  This filtration media can also be used to filter the air entering an area, normally when other types of input filters provide too much airflow resistance.

Proprep consists of two layers of fibre: an initial filtration layer (white layer) followed by a secondary layer (coloured blue) that provides further increased filtration, thus providing progressive filtration and maintaining airflow.

This is G4 grade filtration media that, when used as an extraction filter, can be used alone or is commonly used as a secondary filtration layer when placed behind our Profibre paint stop.  This secondary layer is intended to collect fine overspray particles that become dislodged from the paint stop, normally by vibrations of the extraction fan.

FAQs

Is it easy to cut a spray booth filter?
Yes, most spray booth filter rolls can be cut with just a good pair of scissors or a sharp blade. The filter should be placed on a clean, flat surface and measured prior to cutting.

If I don't need a whole roll of spray booth filter can I buy a smaller piece?
You certainly don't need to buy a whole roll of the booth filter however, it can work out more cost effective to do so. We supply this blue and white filter in a range of standard sizes but, in addition to the standard rolls, we can also provide special size pads cut to your exact measurements.

Can I use this as a secondary booth filter?
Proprep is quite commonly used as a secondary filter normally placed behind a paint stop filter to protect against the leaking of fine particulates.

Which way should this filter be fitted into my spray booth?
The booth filter media should be fitted with the white facing away from the airflow. This means that the air should enter the blue side and exit the white. This way around allows you to easily monitor the condition of the filter so that when the white side is obviously dirty the filter should be changed.
