Description

Pleated panel air filters are normally used for filtering the air entering a spray booth or product preparation area to remove dust particles as well as particles produced by a manufacturing process.

These panels are available in a wide range of standard sizes which we have listed for you.  However, if you don't see the size you need then just contact us as we can manufacture our pleated panels to any required size.

Specification

These panels are designed to filter the air ENTERING your spraying areas or cleanrooms but can also be used as secondary extraction filters.

The pleated panel filter is a standard capacity disposable product offering a better than basic level of filtration, or pre-filtration in HEVAC applications. This product is made using patented Kimberly Clark Intrepid media, which delivers a constant level of filtration performance throughout its life and is made from continuous fibres so will not shed. It has a graduated density for even and greater holding of dust and is hydrophobic so will not load with air moisture. The AquaKote water repellent card frame with superior tear resistance when wet and dry is manufactured from a renewable source.

FAQs

Is there a minimum order of panels?

Yes. We have a minimum order of 4 pleated panels per order.

Can I use these panels filters for extraction air?

You can use the pleated panels to filter air being extracted from a spray booth however it isn't what they were designed for. These panel filters are designed to filter the air entering an area so holding dust produced in a factory or atmospheric dust caused by open doors and windows.

What panel filter thickness should I use?

There isn't a definitive answer for this as there are a few different reasons why a thickness should be used. The first thing is the thickness of the wall or frame into which the panel will be fitted. Normally the filter will be a very similar thickness to its surrounding as firstly this protects the panel filter and secondly the filter won't be obstructing the opening of doors and windows. Secondly you need to know the airflow that is required for the proper operation of your booth. The deeper the panel then the more air it can allow to pass through over a set period of time. This means that a 1" panel and a 4" panel, of the same outside measurements, will allow different airflows with the 4" allowing a greater volume to pass through than the smaller 1".

What size panels should I buy?

If you haven't got panels at the moment then you will probably be guided by the space you have available. It is better to go for the largest size you can, which is normally 24" x 24" (594mm x 594mm) then work your way down the sizes as your available space allows.
