Pro-Hydrobio 200

Eliminates and prevents micro-organic species in equipment and applications such as enclosed water circuits and cooling systems which cause, for example, sludge, fouling issues, algae and deposits which can generate corrosion leading to poor water circulation and thus reducing the thermal exchange.

Description

PRO-HYDROBIO 200 eliminates and prevents the formation of micro-organic species within water used in cooling equipment and systems.  It will eliminate, for example, sludge, fouling issues, algae, and other deposits which can generate corrosion leading to poor water circulation thus reducing thermal exchange.

Specially developed to solve problems posed by microorganisms in the water of cooling circuits. It is a wide action biocide, algicide, fungicide, and bactericide and  has the advantage of dispersing sludge, with no oxidizing action, and is compatible with our  corrosion inhibitors. It has no harmful action on an acid base and does not cause a waste issue at recommended doses.

Specification

Appearance: Colourless liquid
Water Solubility:
 Totally soluble
Density:
 1.03

Initial Dose: Working concentration should be 0.2% of system volume.

Continuous Dosing: With a micro dosing pump, in many cases, a dosage of a few ppm of PRO-HYDROBIO-200 is sufficient to maintain the installations (Method to be determined by our technician).

Manual Dosing: Once the initial dose has been established and added, the working concentration should be maintained by dosing periodically to ensure maximum efficiency. The amount of PRO-HYDROBIO-200 required should be equal to 50% of the top-up liquid or, if no top-up is required, then bleed some liquid from the circuit and fill with 50% mix.

FAQs

What is the working concentration?

The standard dose is 0.2% of the water volume of the system you are dosing.

How do I top-up the system?

This depends upon the size of the system and how it is normally 'topped-up'. Pro-Hydrobio 200 will reduce the frequency of cleaning as, if properly dosed, sludge will not form and the system should be running clean. However, it may be necessary to maintain the working levels within the system and if doing this manually then the required water can be mixed with the Pro-Hydrobio 200 before adding to the system or the water added then the required amount of Pro-Hydrobio 200 added after. The working concentration is 0.2% so for every 10 litres of water you will need to add approximately 20ml of Pro-Hydrobio 200.

If water is added to the system automatically then it could be better to automatically dose Pro-Hydrobio 200 with the dosing pump set to the required levels relevant to the volume of water being added.

Can I mix the product with water before adding it to the system?

This is a very easy way to be sure that the water, with which you are dosing your system, is of the correct concentration. You can make a few litres of solution and store it is a container, for later use, so you will always have water ready to add should it be required in a hurry.

Can this be used with all types of cooling system?

Pro-Hydrobio 200 is generally used with open recirculating systems, closed cooling systems, and once through cooling systems which are particularly susceptible to the formation of biological growth or fouling. However, it can be used within the water of any type of cooling system should the chemical composition be acceptable.
