Description

Glass fibre dust filter for the capture and holding of large quantities of coarse dust-particles. Prorossa is a progressively built fibreglass filter that is impregnated throughout with a harmless gel that ensures the captured dust is held and stays within the filter fibres when subjected to movement.

Prorossa is generally used for the protection of machines, gas-turbines and in many other types of industrial installation.  It is designed for areas where machines are operating in heavy dust or where large particles of dust are produced which could be when loading ships, construction areas, gas turbines, and farming.

Can I use Prorossa with paint?

There is not a particular reason why you can't use Prorossa with solvent-based paints and water-based paints or a mixture of both. The impregnated fibre will hold on to all types of paint particles as well as those from other types of product coatings and coarse dust particles caused during a manufacturing process. However, you may find that, due to its construction, that this is over specification for use in a spray booth or product preparation area and that it will block very quickly. Of course, blocking means that it is capturing and holding the overspray or dust that is being thrown at it but, even so, you may find the Progiallo or Propora better suited to paint, glue or lacquer capture.

Which side is the front?

With all our fibreglass filtration products there is a back and a front. It may not always be obvious, but it is important that the product is fitted correctly so that you are getting the most efficient and effective filtration. Our Prorossa filter is no different and it is the white side that faces into the spray area or where the air is coming from and the red that faces away from the flow of air. When the filter is fitted, you should see a white filter.

The Prorossa is progressively built which means that the fibres are closer together the deeper into the filter you go. So, the fibres are closer together at the back of the filter than they are at the front. This is so that the larger overspray particles are held on the front of the filter whilst the smaller particles are held towards the back. If the filter is fitted, back to front, then it will block very quickly.
